drive me

drive me far and away
don’t have to know where
I’m going there
roads to nowhere
I could hear myself
feel my instincts call to me

I lost you a while ago
hearing you from the distance
calling from everywhere
I split into pieces following everything
that belonged to you
and I’m nowhere to be found when done

drive me far and away
does it really matter?
you’re to be found
so lost next to me
so far, next to you

humming from the blue-sky screams
fill my surroundings with dead poetry
stacking empty spaces
I race to meet your forever young lyrics
to instill comfort one last time any which way
even for the last time, drive me far and away
