the light at the end of the tunnel

there must be light at the end of the tunnel right?
cuz no matter how hard I try, I see no light
I squint I peer but guess my tunnel's just too long
or did I get the route wrong?

 farther i get darker it gets
I see no end to this abyss
I am slowly taking this darkness in
it's seeping deep into my skin

my eyes turn black
my mind goes blank
will I ever see light anymore?
when I am stuck in here no more?

but will I ever even make it out?
 will I ever be found?
where are the days I saw only light
it shone in my eyes it made blind

wish my eyes were blinded by light
 if I were blind they'd be no night
and I would think its day all-day
to be blinded is thus okay
