a strange room

There's a house, it's dark and old
it has a room, where no one goes
spider webs and dust and mold
in the corner, something glows
there's a mirror, it's covered in mold
so no one's seen, what it shows
does it tell the tales untold?
boring songs or endless woes?
 maybe truths, hard and cold
or is it flaws that it shows?
there's something strange, so behold
and. let us learn what it knows
there's a long lonely road
on its sides, nothing grows
on this road, nothing rolled
the scene shifts ; green meadows
green hues, bright and bold
butterflies, sparrows, crows
some die some grow old
some sing some tell woes
the sun rose, day patrolled
in the fields and the wind blows
suddenly a face showed
time stops, a scene unfolds
it's no field it's no road
and the air it has froze
it not bright its not cold
it's someplace that no one knows
a song plays far away, a song so well composed
it has sweet calming notes
but suddenly my hands go cold
and through my veins terror flows
hearts beating fast, uncontrolled
in my throat, a lump arose
it's like my thoughts forgot to load
my legs shake,the unease grows
but what on earth had I probed
the song; only louder it grows
my world stopped my eyes closed
and to this day no one knows
what that strange mirror told
and what my sorry soul chose
