Old-school Lost

What has become of the time honoured verse, seems like rappers today spitting words in reverse
Is the moral decay being put on display, with the rappers who cant find any words to convey
With their words being mumbled and constantly jumbled, being put on display by the rappers not humbled
This confusion exists in the mind of the weak
With a failure to grasp so called words that they speak
If the games gonna change, and we honor true rap, don't snatch leaves from its tree, tap raps roots for its sap.
Embrace its beginnings, poetic its essence, share its gift with the world, have it mold adolescents.
Build the verse with a vibe, an intelligent line
Let the words penetrate with the fruits of the mind
Dont settle for simple, the means for the green
Put in time where it works, an authentic routine.
