In a Blaze of Glory

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Good advice from a reliable source
Is what I need today;
To follow any other course
Will just lead us astray!

What can you say when the teachers
Of the Law don’t have the answer?
The mixing of a lie with truth
Spreads through this world like cancer!

They think the world and Jesus’ words
Can somehow be their friends;
It is this wrong assumption
That will glorify their ends.

But he has told us plainly
It must be one or the other!
You cannot mix a lie with truth
And call Messiah brother!
