Growing in the Light

If you don’t work, then you won’t eat,
But the Lord is good and the Lord is sweet.
Taste of the Lord and invite His grace,
This is your work; you must seek His face.

The job that the Lord has given this man,
Is to lift and carry while he’s getting a tan.
He digs in the soil to plant what is right;
He remains in the Word so his load will be light.
A light that will shine forth upon the whole earth,
He thanks God, his Father, for giving him birth.

The life of the righteous is now filled with trouble,
But his death to the world is piercing that bubble!
Why must they always cross the road in the night?
To escape from the darkness and grow in the light!
