Old Dusty Road

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

I’m so glad You’re mine; I’m so glad I’m Yours.
The world thinks its winning, but it’s not really sure.
When the sorrow is gone; only joy can remain.
In the midst of my trouble I will worship Your name!

The death is behind me, there’s just life ahead.
The Lord has destroyed all the things that I dread.
I can see the sunrise on my left as I walk.
And travel the road, as I pray and we talk.

The things that You say are amazing and great.
Destroying the last little bit of my hate.
And I know soon You will lighten my load,
While we’re traveling down this old dusty road.
