Surrogacy
Transient mom to a child,
Not her own, to be too mild.
In her womb she bears,
A bailment she does care.
Same air they breathe in,
Same food they share.
A miracle she carries,
but life isn't fair.
A selfless contribution of goodness,
transfer of child is greatness.
Growing close to the heart,
a day comes to part.
Many things rotate,
but nothing beats being a surrogate.
A feel of motherhood,
a heal to the soul.
A zeal to gift a beautiful life,
an exchange of pregnancy is bribed.
To raise,in praise,
the egg ,in grace.
Untill develops to survive,
Welcomed to the world to be alive.
The labour pain creates a moment,
the stretch marks remain forever.
The cravings, dislikes,the hormones,
seem to settle altogether.
The body goes light,
the heavy heart prepares to fight.
How painfull it must be?
To shift an organ in service.
Though, to make her living,
a part of her she is giving.
Having nine months in belly,
creates a bond ,grows daily .
Congratulations to the mothers,
"The surrogates"
Life transformation in others ,
they create.
Yielding in amazing beauty!
Spectacular journey of surrogating.
About this poem
I have tried to empathize a surrogates feeling when she is left with light body and heavy heart after having carrying the child for nine months.
