Here and There

He reluctantly requests the right
To ask forgiveness please
Some days he doesn't sleep at night
Because of this disease

Comes creeping slow these episodes
While others happen fast
The moment that he feels control
He knows it cannot last

About most things he's of two minds
At least I think it's true
Too bad he finds it hard to find
Which one to listen to

Don't bother trying therapy
Or mind manipulation
His broken brain will never be
Free of this indignation

Excuse him if you see him first
He didn't mean to yell or curse
I'm quoting chapter and the verse
You haven't seen him at his worst

And yet and still beyond the hurt
And all the misbehaving
He found a pill that just may work
He could maybe be worth saving

So go on knowing that he tries
His best, most days, in fact
This one goes out to girls and guys
Who don't know how to act
