AN EULOGY

Dear Adam

Sorry we haven’t been able
To have a proper chat for a while
As our whole beings have been
Anything but stable

Of our often dismal stories
Lots of questions , long memories
And thoughts play out in my mind
Like a repeat video play back
Mercilessly in my brain unwind

Despairing thoughts trouble me a lot
But I have to carry on
Pressure of daily life is ruthless
As I am sure you feel too
I just would love to sit with you
All by ourselves with some food and drink ( wine for me please!)
And no one to disturb us and sink

So that we can talk endlessly
Perhaps not coming to any conclusion
Or even any place of saviour  soon
But at least to lighten the loads
Of our troubled minds and souls

Hope we can find that lulling time together
Sometime soon I desperately hope we gather
Love you and for you always be there
And for ever in soulful memory
Of our beloved lassie Bonnie
