DEATH OF MULLATTO

Penman 1990 (Enugu state)

DEARTH OF MULATTO

I have know them
All of them
The white, red, black and pink
I've seen them and I think
They resemble one another
That's why I don't bother

Are we not the handy plebeians?
Both traditionalist, Muslims and Christians?
Raising and pointing fingers
As none would be  singers
Shall these nights be seen as days?
Or welcome the scorching sun rays?

I've measured my footsteps
And bookmarked the reps
I know all the evening from morning
I've seen the afternoon as mourning
They aren't different from others
Help to board the ship but left across boarders.

About this poem

Nigerian government is terrible and bad. This is caused by hardhearted politicians who used to give us fake promises so as to vote them into power but after they won't fulfill one third of their promises. This is what they do every election year and I'm not happy with them because I've known their usually way of lying and deceits.
