HORMONAL IMBALANCE

Penman 1990 (Enugu state)

HORMONAL IMBALANCE

If this is love then I'm not sure
I've had feelings before unlike this measure
Crept into me as rhythmic snail
Leaving me with slippery saliva to nail

Friendship has splendours
But love knows not to adore
It grows stronger when crossed
Whereas obstacles kill love

Friendship resists times
Which wearies and severs couples at times
It's has heights unknown to love
Oh! I've really found my love

My friend, my neighbour, my choice
My line, my ribs, now I can rejoice
My soulmate, my gist mate,
My cook, my warmer and classmate

I love you so much baby
May you live long, I'm ready
To be with you forever
So help me God, the mover

About this poem

This poem talks about a new found lover after a breakup with another lover. An unusual lover. I was in a relationship that nearly sent me to early grave but was finally broken and later, I got a true and best lover that I never could have imagined in life. I feel so happy and strong; rejuvenated my mental and emotional state; and same is my wish for everyone in the world. Life is not as you think. Whenever you lose someone so dare to you, don't be down caste, only believe, the best is yet to come and those old bad memories forgotten in a minute.
