Depressed Mother to Her Unborn Child

Neil Dave 1993

If you knew what I know, would we ever get to meet?
Would you gasp for air, before you were out of there
And drown inside of me?

If you knew what I know, would you turn my cord into a noose?
Would you get tied up, my precious little cub
Before I cut you loose?

If you knew what I know, would you make a gallows between my legs?
Would you turn my womb into a tomb? would the first of you I see
Be your cute still little face swinging from knee to knee?

If you knew what I know, would you make my bones a chopping block?
Would you suffocate or decapitate,
Before I drop you like a rock?

If you knew what I know, would we ever get to meet?
