SLEEP MY PRINCESS, SLEEP

Sleep my Princess, sleep , sleep
At last you are in peace, peace
The vagaries of life to you
Have been so tormenting, tormenting
You are so now forever released
From the shackles unrelenting
Released, released
The cauldrons of fire within you
Forever now
Vanished, vanished
Sleep my Princess, sleep, sleep

Your spot in the park of Kemnal
In suburban London
Is spotless under a petite  willow tree
It’s leaves, so tiny that even a harsh wind
Does not much cause them to rescind
Surrounding a  pond  so pristine
Hardy any ripple , it’s so serene
Unlike the scathing ripples in the water
Of your turbulent life asunder

Sleep my Princess, sleep
At last you are released
From your tormenting shackles
You are forever released my Princess, released
Sleep peacefully my Princess, sleep, sleep
