What Love can transcend all woes
Can it erase all shadows,
all shades of black and grey,
can love answer as you pray?

What love is that
what love can transcend all woes?
Is it the love of a new love
or is it the love of man and wife?
Is there an answer to this in life?
Or is it even the love of brothers
for their loving sisters
or vice versa?

What is that love
that transcends all woes ?
From  time immemorial
it’s that love
that springs from the deep heart
of a parent for their offspring inherent
the love that blossoms from instinct inborn
this is that love
that transcends woes all above.

What love transcends all woes,
the love that can transcend beyond death,
death of a loved one that cannot rinse
the cauldron of burning love
of a surviving parent all above
that is the love that transcends all woes
it’s all about.

I have lost my daughter
and I am in despair
can my love for her transcend
all my woes one can comprehend?

I am lost in a quagmire ,
can my love beyond her death
help my heart to repair?
What love transcends all woes?
It has to be the love of a parent
