He eloped overnight

He Eloped Overnight

He was the son.
He who ran,
With a huge ransom.
Leaving them on debt,
to be portended  everyday,
on the edge of the knife they stayed.

The duo lived in peace,
a house taken on lease.
Along, a split daughter with a child,
diligent effort on work piled.
Enough could they generate,
Just enough to make their living .
A small portion spared was seen,
Sigh ! their own son had he not been.
Ignorant were they,
in the middle of the night,
he ran away.
Only worthly stuff he could lead,
family he lost,for the misdeeds.

Pardoned he was thrice,
to have eloped overnight.
To have doomed them up,
to retrieve was tough.
Not prepared to be broken,
again it could happen.

Hence,
"Son  live your life,
  but son, spare  my wife.
  It was hard to survive,
  when you left us overnight."
