Dark Age

12 years on and hating life
Painting sorrows with a knife
I wish I could say I believe
There’s a future to retrieve
But loss to loss day after day
Drains hope completely away
So don’t mind me as I disengage
I’m just entering my own dark age
They rant and rave that “JESUS saves!”
They can’t say why, just don’t make waves
Burning libraries in old cities of the mind
I’ve lost so much of me it’s all left behind
Countless treasures all wiped away
My beautiful mind is left to decay
So don’t mind me as I disengage
I’m just entering my own dark age
