The sweet ache

Audrey Cook 1955 (Los Angeles)

Every time i awake
i inhale the aroma
of lavender hyacinth and dill
my  eyes turn
to the window sill
thoughts electrified
of a love unified
of  your hand on my side
when off to dreams
we glide
a soft glowing passion
that does not deride
what a thrill
hot and cold chill
in a love
that will not spill
and make no mistake
this feeling lapping over me
is a sweet ache

Nicely written, I love the sweet ache, that's original, heart ache or tooth ache I could smell the lavender, hyacinth and dill pickle - smell and taste that life is good Write about the Rose ! Bravo !
