Living With Both (MAJOR TW for self-injury)
I cut
Because my depression
Tells me to
In order to balance out
My internal pain,
But as soon as the
Blood appears
I start to panic,
Freaking out
And wanting the blood to
Stop flowing.
The newly opened cuts
Sting for days,
But they’re permanently
There on my skin.
I wish so much
I could live my life
Without needing to cut.
