Two

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Don’t beg; don’t plead, just love and bleed
Die for her if it is just
But don’t give in to greed or lust

You want her soul, not just her body
Although she really is a hotty
Dig down inside and grab her heart
A love that moves is like fine art

The women come to see your work
But many only gaze and lurk
They hide in ambush for their prey
And watch for men who’ll go astray

They lure them in as they walk by
Their beauty catches many eyes
The foolish men of earth can’t see
Their hands are tied; they can’t get free
