A Happy Dog with no Tail Wagging

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Once I had a tale to tell
But then it was cut-off.
A tale of one more feeble man
Adrift among the lost.

He could not lift his head
To breathe amidst this raging sea.
But then he cried out to the Lord!
And Jesus set him free.

No more drowning in the muck;
The ocean of my desires;
No longer trapped by evil thoughts;
Not one more little liar!
