Broken Angel

Broken Angel

I’m a broken Angel
My wings no longer fly.
For Angel’s need someone to love,
To reach the bluest sky.

My sorrow binds me to the Earth,
And this Angel can’t take flight.
The happiness my wings once had;
Are chained here day and night.

The sky is dark and cloudy now;
And thunder fills in my soul.
No more laughter, no more sun,
Just a heart that has this hole.

There won’t be another,
I will ever love again.
No one I could ever trust,
When it comes to loving men.

I’m a broken Angel.
My wings drag on the floor.
Because I gave my heart to you,
And you still walked out the door.

The wind is gone the days are cold;
There’s no more warmth or joy.
You took the love I gave to you
And broke it like a toy.

This Angel has no power.
No happiness or hope.
No answers as to why you left,
And I’m struggling just to cope.

I’m a broken Angel.
Because the love I feel is true.
And it will live forever,
Missing times I shared with you.
