Journeyman
Another year has come and go and I'm here with my chatty mind having a convo
Often asking myself when the moment shall arrive or have another no show
To have someone and fall in love with them again every single day
And have time stop for a moment to enjoy that person's presence until they look back your way
I know that it's not always going to be like movie scenes and bed full of roses
But I'd like to believe that’s what my interpretation of what love is
To enjoy each other's company and overcome whatever trials that may come our way
Whoever's that’s still standing at the end is probably the person who chooses to stay
Being single is fine but I like the idea of going on a journey with someone better
Someone to have a deep connection with, to serenade them with love letters
I know what I can bring to the table and what I can offer to be their number one
As long as the feelings are genuine then I shouldn’t worry too much for the long run
For the time being, I think it's best to unplug my thoughts and let things flow
Instead of overthinking about things I have no control over and see where things go
Someday when I at least expect it someone will come along and rock my entire being
Until then it’s a maybe? A possibility? Seeing is believing.
There's a time and place for everything that we often hear people say or quote
Situations and scenarios of the endless thoughts from my picturesque storybook
Sometimes I forget that life is not all that rosy but like an endless dreamer
It's harmless to have a lil glimpse into the future just for an instant then come back to reality
