Candles



Everyday, she gave more and more.
He'd set her aflame, make her feel alive, then use her up.
Dripping into him, all of her energy and light.
When she was burned up, he found no use for her.
He tossed her aside and bought a new one. One that smelled like lavender, and was perfectly sculpted.
She wanted to be like the other candle.
So perfect, just like it. But he used her up, so she couldn't be beautiful.
