The Rowdy Partridge

Black holes winked at me
So, I decided to study a little astronomy
I read a brief history of time
And knew that one day a capsule
Will allow travel through time
Where black clouds creep
With planets on their muddy wings
Blackening the sky
But then one day I got fed up
I carried a woven cane basket
And collected some berberis fruits
And sat by the fireplace,
I eased my thoughts into my sweet nap
I saw galaxies equal to lame geese
And my father held their thin necks
Then I folded the books of planets
In my old box
And now I hunt quails for my meal
But I am careful not to touch that rowdy partridge
Which my father pays special attention to
