Strangers By Chance

VinLK 1977 (Reading)

A smile from a sideways glance
An agreement exchanged
Two strangers by chance
A silent chemistry unexplained
Two drinks perched on the bar
Body language loud and deafening
In the distance an acoustic guitar
Shared laughter warm and welcoming
Their eyes saying so much more
Two more drinks to lay the blame
A stroke, a green light to explore
Unification of outsiders without a name
Nervous electricity from fingers tracing
Acknowledgement of conscious surrender
Closer contact, uncontrolled hearts racing
A touch of skin light and tender
A shaking hand held, being led
Without restrain a reckless abandonment
A corridor walk with no word said
The kiss, breathless, bodies adamant
Snatch and grab an open door
Closed door as bodies start to dance
A tie, a blouse, loosened fall to the floor
Just two strangers who met by chance
