Pray to be Content

I pray to be content,
As my anxiety continues to grow.
No one to hear me vent,
And the rain doth turn to snow.

The tears do continue to fall,
Shout now at the ocean.
Still lacking the wherewithall
No clever notions.

Could I feel more pathetic?
Could I look more deranged?
Try to keep it copacetic,
Desperate for a change.

Blood pressure high per usual,
Heart beating at a rapid pace.
My thoughts are straight delusional,
And I miss your face!

About this poem

So much talk about the G.O.A.T (Greatest of all Time); Superstars, Elite members of society. I continue my prayer for contentment years later...

Christopher Moore

Yet, poetry of any kind allows me to speak my feeling without feeling shame. There is too much ridicule and hypocracy; therefore, I choose to write poetry for me, myself, and I. more…
