Repeated Tragedies

Tragic is the repeating feeding on greed.
With a defying of kept ignorance.
Too many these days,
Believe themselves exceptions to grieve.

Few if any,
Live to exist to declare themselves,
Immortal descendents of dead ancestors.
And yet...
There are those who have achieved,
Elitist status to believe they can control...
Over the World, its Inhabitants.
God and Mother Nature.
With a doing this told,
To have themselves seen...
As untouchable deities.

Repeated are the tragedies,
Experienced by followers who are dupe...
With a drugging that blindly deceives.
As they worship false idols.
And their bright shiny symbols to believe.

To only beg of God,
For relief and release from their miseries.
And a normalcy returned,
That allows them to be...
Apologetic pretenders of a faith to have.
But to keep it if only,
A greeding to feast selfishly...
Leaves them feeling,
Superior over others...
They can identify and define,
As those oppressed...
Living the best they can with less.

'Dear Father God,
In the Heavens above.
Please deliver us,
From yet another tragedy.
So difficult for us it is to accept,
All our things we owned to possess...
Are gone.
Leaving us no reason,
To pretend or address...
Our self-anointed superiority kept.
Over others.
Left to assume their envy and jealousy!'

'Uh...
I know you may consider my suggestion,
To be off topic and foolishly unnecessary.
However...
Don't you believe,
God would be more impressed...
If we pray to be thankful?
And feel blessed to have survived,
With our lives to still live them?'

'What?
Do you know how long it took me,
To almost own my home mortgage free?
And my once brand new cars?
I would wax everyday.
Just to leave in my driveway,
For the entire neighborhood.
In this community to see.
All gone; nothing left.'

'Well...
Your pretensions are still intact!'

'Only God I can thank for that!'

'How great THOU ART!'

'Tell me about it.
So glad I am to have you notice,
The strength that takes me...
To endure and overcome such stress!'
