Dreamweavers

We spent our lives
Weaving memories
Tender strands so delicately balanced
Spun from
Childhood dreams and wishes
Handcrafted by lives experiences
Sprinkled with love, hate, happiness and sadness
Each one taking a toll
Making us who we are
Both spiritually and materially
Craving for both
At times the balance is wrong
And we have to make adjustments
Those of us who can are lucky
Those of us who cannot
Are hunted in dreams
Maybe for a little while  or
For the rest of our lives
Every tear that is shed is a storm
That shakes the ocean of our lives
Creating a path of resentment that is easier
To travel than the road to forgiveness
Our lips form prayers hoping  heaven
Would drop a rope ladder
To rescue our souls and plant
Seeds of wisdom there
Each blade of memory is a tiny bayonet
Pointed firmly at our heart
Daggers of emotions piercing through our thoughts
Creating scars in our soul
A road map not to be followed
At times words are weapons with which we wound
Those around us
Intentionally but at times  by mistake
Reminding
We are all shadows on the wall of time

One artist with brush and paint
The other with pen and paper,
One finished product on the wall,
The other on a page inside a book.

The first four lines of a new poem called " Two Artists" I have just finished. See it tomorrow on Poetry dot Com !

Writing poems lets our personality mingle with the words we write .And all of us are originals .No two alike. As a senior my biggest problem is how to spell right !
But the computer is a friend indeed !

This is a journey poem, from the many faucets of life ! Life is not necessarily a bowl of cherries but a reality and testing to see what w are made of !
    Thankyou for the journey
