I See You

I see the way you strive just to feel alive in your drive to live...
I see your struggle just to juggle every double, what more can you give?...
I feel you when you're tired, feeling uninspired, just doing what's required just to stay afloat...
I wanna ease your pain, so you can feel the rain and watch you in your gain, then listen to you gloat...
Success is in your mind and peace is what you find in your daily grind when someone sees you...
All I see is you, and all the work you do, just wanna be your boo and try to please you...
Just know I'm always there, and that I really care, your life I wanna share, just know I choose you.

About this poem

I wrote this poem for the man I love because I see him struggle through life trying to survive the adversities and obstacles that come his way as a hard working Black man.

Our struggles define us and in the end, who wins ?
Our human body will fade but our inner being will have wings to fly !
