Drive it home

Mark Cloutier 1972 (Kaneohe)

Drive it home
Safe inside
From the fear
That kept them in line
Down by the Oceanside
I baptised myself
And I came out
Bathed in glory
The glories of all that we see
In the celestial lights
Of the heavenlies
Whatever they say means nothing
The little they do for us
Keeps me going strong every day
And I gain strength
In saying I won't stop
Til its all said and done
There is more power in words
Then there is in guns and butter
Put it on my bread
And spread my wings
And fly away
