The Stirring
Something inside stirred and moved beyond a blurred notion
A buried happiness reaching out in the endless darkness
A trigger set anticipating an eerily strange positive motion
Awake and forming a possible new reality with a stroke and a caress
Empowerment and energised by a new free flowing mood
A broken spell and self-created shackles shrink and evaporate
The wolf out in the open no longer hiding below the hood
A diversion from the normal ill-conceived world altering my fate
No one understands why the darkness is all consuming
It’s hard to comprehend the bright light breaking through
A prince too long in the shadows becomes a solemn King
In an instant enveloped in despair, the stirring too good to be true
About this poem
