A girl by the lane

Was strolling by, once, across the lane
Amongst the crowd, there she came
a stern face with a confident smile
an aura of innocence, i could sense from a mile
perfectly dressed to match the style
But simplicity isn’t common ..since a while
Her eyes reflected a subtle expression
An unsaid story or a deep seated depression
As if she wants to be all bubbly and wild
But the world turned her into stone ..strong but mild

The world is rough and life is hard
One has to be strong and stay on guard
Stay focused and strive for what you want
But first...do u know "WHAT YOU WANT?"

This question decides the path of your life
sounds pretty simple but cuts like a knife

If you know the answer, you will surely do fine
If you don’t , it’s like a cancer benign
No cure, no improvement, a wild goose chase
You'll reach nowhere, u are stuck in a maze
A maze that all of us call ..life
An endless fractal with branches infinite

But there is something more to make it right
If you got the answer, you need to work on it, right?
Find your ways to seek your goals
Don’t get depressed with the fines and tolls

In this journey,... with sunshine or hail
several relations would work and fail
Take it all with open arms
everyone has their lapses and charms

Once u know to adapt to it all
You'll be a winner, that's your call

But still somewhere down the line
You will still wonder, " what's missing in this life of mine?"
You wouldn't want to say a thing
But your eyes would express everything
As did the eyes of the dame
who walked by the crowd across the lane.
