The Dreamer

The Dreamer

1.Do you want to be, the dreamer?
Do you want to  be, the dream?
Do you wish to be, the sleeper?
Does it, mean anything?
The world, is all illusions.
Mirrors, shadows, smoke.
A place where where love, is hard, and
Every heart gets, broke.
We pick up, the pieces.
And, then we carry on.
We learn to sing, another song.
And wonder, what the hell.. went wrong.
(Chorus) I carry torches, while you admit defeat.
This situation leaves me, bittersweet.
You kiss me, baby.. and then your gone.
And,  still.. you turn me on.
I thought our love, would last.
For, fifty years or more.
But all I ever hear, is the slamming doors.
You kiss me, baby, and then your gone.
And still, you turn me on.
2.Oh,  do you want to, the dreamer?
Do you want be, the dream?
Do you wish to be, the sleeper?
Does it, mean anything?
The world, is all illusions.
Mirrors, shadows, smoke.
A place where, love is hard, and
Every heart gets, broke.
We pick up, the pieces.
And, then we carry on.
We learn to sing, another song.
And wonder, what the hell.. went wrong.
