Fishing

Luke Breen 1998 (United States)

Fishing
By:Luke Breen
Everyone thought Ed was a loon
Fishing at night
With no light
Only the shine of the clear blue moon
His sister June
 Had been sent to jail
With no baill
Yet she has left a trail
He must not fail
Ed came to shore
With even more fish
Everyone’s wish
Guess he wasn’t such a loon
There must be something in fishing under the moon
Although he came with a new goon
On his ship
All of a sudden I heard a yip
It was a paperboy asking for a tip
A girl named June
Had escaped the prison last night
And they only found out, this morning in the light
Someone had to come to be her white knight
Though the fish was light
Ed's smile was bright
