Hurricane

Michelle Watkins 1979 (ocean springs Mississippi)

Ten years ago a hurricane blew into my life.
It just sat there spinning and  causing strife.
He completely destroyed my life and my heart.
The day finally came, time for us to part.
But I felt no relief,
I only felt pain and grief.
Sometimes I miss my hurricane
Even if all it caused is pain.
