Faith To Depend Upon

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

No one taking risks and chances,
With faith to depend upon and prayer.
Will be the last to admit,
A doing this...
Without trembling knees and fear.
To hope that obstacles,
Negativity and opposition to face...
Quickly is replaced,
When someone is clearly frightened.
But stays brave enough to keep,
Moving forward regardless...
Of who or what attempts to prevent,
One on a mission promising to get done!

'You dare to ignore my presence?
My huff and puff with deep low voice.'

'Look...
I have a few things to accomplish.
And tired I am of you huffing puffers.'

'Your knees?
They shake.
And you are trembling.'

'Its a defense mechanism.
To have you believe,
I am afraid.'

'And...
Of me you are not?'

'Hell yeah I'm afraid.
But like I said,
I am on a mission.
And it will be completed.
Under-standeth-me?

Now...
How long are you going to waste your time,
Trying to convince me...
It's you I should fear?
When I am on a mission to get it done.
That has nothing to do with you.
