Unwarranted

Unwarranted nor solicited,
Are opinions given.
Concerning decisions made.
As to who deserves,
To be discriminated against.
Since their heritage,
Nor identifiable ethnicity...
Promotes an image,
Wished to market...
Both demographically and successfully,
Has yet met the approval of the ones...
Undeciding,
Whether it is to their advantage to admit...
Of having a mixed ancestry.
Or defend and continue protesting against,
The truth of it.
By censoring to ban this reality.
With a doing to make it more obvious,
That a living in denial...
Provides few benefits.
For those fighting to maintain their right,
To remain isolated and self serving.
Within cemented walls and fences built.
Around themselves as if to prevent,
Delusions to fiction their lives feeling entitled.
From threats of being stolen.
Done to imitate, masquerade and charade,
Sacred to value a pretentious way of life!

'Uh...
Did you get permission to do this?'

'Permission?
Permission to do what?'

'You do realize,
This is a residential neighborhood?
And mixed with various ethnic races, right?'

'Get to the point.
I'm busy.
No time for Show and Tell.
Catch me later.'

'Digging a moat around your home.
With a drawbridge to install.
Is against the rules and regulations,
Of this neighborhood.
And besides...
You will have no authority to decide,
Who pays a toll as they await for you...
To either lower or rise that drawbridge.
A drawbridge.
That allows only you and your family to use.
Stopping traffic on a one way street.'

'Listen up.
When I and my family moved into this area.
I was then told I could build a barbecue pit.
Okay?
However...
You decided to have a built-in pool.
And we decided to have a moat.
You then you chose to build a backyard deck.
With steps.
No one said a thing to you about that.
So...
My family discussed having a drawbridge.
Done to designate who is and who is not,
Permitted to drive down this street...
Being nosey without paying to do it.
So what's the problem.'

'This is a community.
And all of us are neighbors.'

'That's great.
I have no intentions to interfere with that.
I will offer pre-paid monthly passes.
To anyone.
And when I lower or raise the drawbridge,
I will provide warnings.
With this to make clearly understood,
I have no objections to this...
Neighborly thing you folks enjoy.
With a sharing of the profits.
Is there anything else?'

'A sharing of the profits?'

'Of course.
What kind of neighbor do you think I am?
Just wait until you see,
What I have planned for the holidays.'

'A dazzling that traps?'

'Exactly.
Get them in.
They have to pay to get out.
This is what I have noticed.
During the holidays,
Folks will complain.
About not having any extra money.
But color up their minds,
With visual effects and trap them.
Surround them with it?
Sniff to smell the fortune!'

'I thought you were doing this,
For your own selfish purpose.'

'Not yet.
I mean...
No regrets do I have as of yet!'
