in mashed hopes
that someone will

perfectly shaped or
flavored so
artificially wonderkin and
purchase a
share or two or
at least stop to
nosh

truths canned
to be whispered
unseen
not heard

remember when
breathing came
easy

pick a
partner from the
shelf
drop it in your
shopping
cart
consume each

uncanned
olives on a serving

toothpicks

sandwiches such a
lovely spread

relief of desperation
