Analysis of The Act

Nights are the worst
When thoughts intrude.
The things I avoided
Destroying my mood.
I'd rather distract
Think on other things.
Who's missing noticed
And sadness it brings.
The moment I stop
Dark thoughts awake.
My together composure
No longer I fake.
When the sun does rise
I force a reset.
Try to be brave
Not show I'm upset.
Each day is rough
While heartless I seem.
Inside I am broken
But keep it unseen.
