Analysis of 2020/08/25 ~ A Cobbler's Daughter

Cheyenne Seaman 2003 (Philadelphia)

In a land far away lived a cobbler's daughter
Who stared out the window all day long.
She denied to all she was born a fair leader,
But many who saw her saw her as a leader strong.

Twas many moons later, the king came through town.
His weary eyes rested upon the fair beauty rare.
Like the river's flow, his heart did leap and bound,
As he laid eyes on the fair blonde that cared.

In the guise of a poor man, the girl he did approach.
"My fair beauty rare, take pity on me."
She glanced him over and hurried him home
If only to get some shoes on her king's pale bare feet.

"From whence come you, my king so fair?"
"My castle at home, will you go with me there?
"Nay, dear king, I cannot go lest you command me so
For my place is here, so meek and low."

"A just leader you will be, my love.
Then, my future queen, I command you, come."
With him, she flew away like a dove,
And a just and fair queen she was.
