Analysis of Young Life

Oh, Glorious Morning, shed your bountiful light
Upon the head of my sleeping child!
Let him awake with much delight
At your warmth so wonderfully mild.
Please do not harshen your rays
Upon his delicate young skin.
Be gentle with my son as he plays,
As this gossamer life he does begin.
When he is grown into a handsome man
And finds the woman he wishes to marry,
Touch their marriage with your golden light.
And the flames of devotion gently fan
As love, hope and health they carry
Out into the prosperous daylight.
