Analysis of This Restless Divide

the sky is turning dark
the stars are all aligned
july is the time to lie
about where you've been and where you're going to

the raindrops falling down
here we are crossed between this restless divide
remember the way you used to
tell me that everything's gonna be alright

to die is to live again
the scars are all inside
wonder why the lies
never end up the way you want them to be

the angels are falling down
oh god how divine
this bitter earth we tread upon
has become a battleground

despised by all the rest
inside all we have is death
we lie to ourselves each and everyday
to make the pain go away
