Double Cross

where have i been all this time
lost, afraid, and colorblind
i've been trying to find a way across
but i'm afraid i've been double-crossed
i don't remember what i've done
all i know is that i'm on the run

what have i been doing all this time
to be seeing all the things that i've left behind
i've been tying up loose ends on the way
but i guess some things are a little too late
i don't remember who she was
all i know is she left that night on the bus

when will it start to make any sense
don't spare my feelings at my expense
i'm been climbing a mountain as far as i can go
but i haven't made any progress as far as i know
i don't remember why i came
all i know is i'm to blame
