Analysis of Things Aren't Always As They Seem

Come to me sweet, dear child
And tell me all your fears
Tell me all those things that plague you
Things that have happened throughout your years
I’ll be your shoulder to cry on, my precious
I’ll help you see the light
I’ll be there for you through the days
I’ll be there to hold you close at night
I’ll never let another hurt you
I’ll protect you with all my might
I’ll always be there to support you
I’ll make everything alright
I’ll tell you all the things you long
Desperately to hear
Then one day I’ll show you
It was a mistake to ever let me near
I’ll show you that you’ll live to regret
The day you opened up that door
I’ll make sure you never forget
I’ll leave you bleeding profusely on the cold, dank floor
If you manage to pull yourself up again
And live to fight another god-forsaken day
I’m sure one thing you’ll never forget
Is the moment I came your way
