Analysis of the raggerty man
see the old raggarty man
kicking an old rusty tin can
as he walks down the street
with a very unsteady beat
he's going down to the park
so he can hide in the dark
away from the society's eye
of cold stares as they go by
their voices torment his mind
and what is said is not kind
it's not his fault being there
as life for him was not very fair
his wife had no love for him
said i'm leaving you, sonny jim
everything he owned, she took
even his favorite comic book
she'd planned from the start
to break his loving caring heart
stole his hard earned money
as she pretended to be his honey
then she ran of with his brother
that really hurt his poor mother
he lost his job and his house
and now he eats like a mouse
see how pale he looks today
on this cold and windy may
he has had three strokes now
and survived i do not know how
his speech is slurred and loud
amongst the cigarette smoke cloud
people yell, hoot and laugh
at him they say,... take a bath
his family sees him as a loser
who say he's always at the boozer
they closed their doors in his face
thinking he's just a big disgrace
but he doesn't care what is said
as he goes to the park for bed
away from the eyes of the folk
who just thinks he's just a joke
he will dream of a place of bliss
as the night air gives him a kiss
