the fire of love

THE FIRE OF LOVE

The fire of love in my heart burns for you
Yet you cannot see it as being so far away
i do not how this feeling had come about
but my warm love ignites for you everyday

the flickering of the flames reach out to you
yet they never seem to touch you in the heart
i know you are wanting to be loved my dear
only if our distance was not so, so far apart

the warmth of love is what i want to give you
yet by the time it gets to you it has gone cold
i must keep the embers burning just on case
if by chance one day, the warmth will hold

the hot coals will be kept alight always for you
yet even they burn a hole in my heart of love
i will always be here waiting for you to respond
as i have loved you for every moment, my dove
