Analysis of The Light Amid Darkness

The darkness tends to eb and flow
taking advantage when I'm at my low,
it resembles the endless ocean at night
and I start to feel our eminent fight.
Although I only have a lamp
my friends and family act as my amp,
they push and help me to my fighting limit
I now shine my light and start to inhibit.
The darkness knows and tries to gain
it lashes out and attempts to chain,
my happiness, my faith, and even my love
I see it's attack and shine my light far above.
