Analysis of Packing Her Bags

Packing her bags she moves away to make another start.
Unwittingly her "feet of clay"
trample a trusting heart.

Countless covenants unspoken give an auspicious guise.
Unawares, tacit vows broken
cause holds to jeopardize.

Dominating the surveillance every view is cockeyed.
Resignation in abeyance,
all that's real is denied.

Ties that bind abruptly sever smack-dab out of the blue.
Definitions of forever
instantly turn askew.

Expectations and aftermath refuse to coincide.
The upshot was no primrose path
and hope is set-aside.

She reaches her destination, unpacking to unwind,
in spite of her inclination
nothing is left behind.
