Like a silk cobweb floating on thin air
you're so diaphanous that you're barely there

Like a sundial scale representing time
you're so ephemeral that you're instant prime

Like a pencil mark scoring on a page
you're so erasable that you're just a stage

Like a tidal wave flowing back to sea
you're so deliberate that you're never free

Like a cosmic dust blowing over land
you're so impalpable that you're drifting sand

Like a pale specter moving up a coast
you're so indefinite that you're lucent-ghost

Like a vapor trail striping azure sky
you're so transitory that you're flashing by
